Walapei Adult Retreat

In 2006 TEAAM began to co-sponsor, along with William Carey University, the Walapei Adult Retreat. This weekend retreat is held in late Summer early Fall and is focuses on individuals with a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder who is 18 (eighteen) year of age or older. The retreat is held in South Mississippi. TEAAM sponsors the support activity of the retreat and William Carey, under the direction of Dr. Paul D. Cotton, coordinates the program. Programs include a strong emphasis on Music, Art, Horseback riding and building friends.

Participation in this event is limited to approximately 15 (fifteen) participants and application can be made through the TEAAM office. Participants are selected on a first-come-first-serve basis.
