Family Retreats
In 2006 TEAAM began to sponsor a weekend retreat whose focus was on helping families plan for their child’s future. The criteria for participation is that the child with an autism spectrum disorder must be 6 years of age or younger. This program includes parents, the child with an autism spectrum disorder and their siblings. In some case extended family members are also included. The retreats are conducted by a host of professionals in the field who can answer questions and give ideas and direction about future plans. The areas covered are medical, education, behavior, program reviews and futures planning.
